India Street Identity

India Street Identity

An multi-lingual, dynamic identity for a research programme and exhibition focussing on the historic relationship between Scottish and Indian textiles, and developing new designs.

The India Street identity has both Devanagari and Gujarati letterforms, while the visual design take sits cues from the geometry of classic block printed forms and the bright hand painted signs seen all over India.

Designed to be versatile in application, so far the identity has been risographed, screen printed, hand-painted and even made back into wood for block printing.

The complete identity system uses the contemporary typeface family Skolar, designed by Rosetta Type Foundry
